Oregon Coast Haystack Rock Pendant with Opal
Sterling silver Haystack Rock miniscape pendant with Ethiopian Opal. Haystack Rock is an iconic landmark in Cannon Beach, Oregon. Each one is individually sand casted from the original model that took me hours to hand fabricate. Models are made by layering sheet metal and wire, then hammered and engraved. This pendant features a glowy Opal.
This Opal is from Welo, Ethiopia. Opals are a hydroplane, meaning they absorb water and release water, almost like a sponge. This actually is a good thing, keeping the opal from drying out or cracking. With that being said, I highly encouraged you take off before showering or swimming in water for extended periods of time. Avoid any oils being applied to them, such as lotion. Absorption of water or chemicals can cause clouding or color changes but may return once it dries out. Keep stored in a cool dry place like a soft jewelry box.
On 18 inch chain, can be put on different length if needed. Ready to ship.
